ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Jonathan A. Mintz splits his time between Evergreen, Colorado and Southern California, and focuses on the areas of estate planning, long-term trust design & implementation, asset protection – both domestic and international – and strategic international tax planning. Jonathan has an extensive clientele of non-U.S. individuals, professional athletes, and other individuals and families with extensive international interests. He is a frequent author and national speaker, Adjunct Faculty at the Chapman University Fowler School of Law, and immediate Past Chair of STEP-Orange County. He is a member of the California Bar Association, the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, WealthCounsel, and ElderCounsel.
Admitted to the California Bar, 1989; U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, 1989; U.S. District Court, Central District of California, 1989. Education: UCLA (BA, Economics (Business Emphasis) 1985). Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, CA (Juris Doctor 1989).
Also received a Certificate in International Human Rights and Comparative Civil Rights from the University of San Diego School of Law after studying at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland (1987).
At Loyola Law School, Jonathan was a Staff Member of the Law Review and he received numerous awards including Best Brief in the Moot Court Competition; an American Jurisprudence award (top in the class) for Appellate Advocacy; West’s prestigious Award for Outstanding Achievement at graduation; and Membership in
Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.
